DELIVERY:

We deliver most items via a range of couriers to your specified address. Smaller items will be delivered by a parcel courier and can be left somewhere secure or with a neighbour if you provide these instructions at the time of order. Large and bulk/multiple orders will be delivered on a pallet or by special delivery due to their size and weight. Large items are orders that exceed 28kg in weight or exceed the dimensions permitted by the courier company.

Delivery prices shown are exclusive of VAT which will be applied at the current VAT rate on the date of your order in the checkout.

DELIVERY TIMEFRAME:

Delivery times vary and these are shown in the product listing/details before you place your order. Smaller items are usually within 28 days but larger made to order items can take up to 12 weeks. Please contact us for more information about each product.

TIME DELAYS ON EXPECTED ORDER OF GOODS:

Customers will be informed of all "Back Order" expected delivery times. However delivery times stated are estimates only; Andrew McKeown accepts no responsibility for goods not arriving on time.

PALLET DELIVERIES & SPECIAL DELIVERIES:

Larger items and bulk/multiple orders only.

Please note that if an item or items are to be delivered by a pallet or by special delivery, Pallet deliveries are to the Kerbside only. Moving, positioning and placing the items within your property is not included. Special Delivery may include placing the item within your property as agreed, supervision by customer required.

If your order is to be delivered via a pallet courier or special delivery you will be contacted with an estimated delivery date. If this is not suitable please contact us to arrange an alternative date.

If a delivery day/time has been arranged and accepted by you and you cannot take delivery of the order, and you have not contacted us, you may incur charges for a second attempt at delivering your items.

DELIVERY ADDRESS AND AUTHORISED PERSON:

Your order will be delivered to the delivery address as instructed by the purchaser. The purchaser is responsible for ensuring an authorised person is present at the address to sign for and take delivery of the goods. Andrew McKeown and/or their couriers will not be held liable for any losses if an unauthorised person takes delivery of the goods.

Some couriers will leave your order in a safe place without the need for a signature, however, if a signature is required and you aren’t in they will leave a card allowing you to arrange a suitable delivery time. When you place your order there is a comments box which you can use to put specific delivery information in.

Please contact us if you have any specific delivery requirements and we will try our best to meet them.

ACCESS FOR DELIVERY:

Orders may be delivered on a lorry. If your premises have any access problems for large vehicles, please contact us to discuss. You should allocate space for access to deliver products, otherwise we will assume that you authorise us to leave your order at our couriers' discretion at a nearby location.

Delivery by pallet: If you are unable to accept delivery when the courier has arrived or are not at the delivery address the courier will not re-deliver until you have paid a further delivery charge which could be up to the original cost of each pallet.  It is the customers responsibility to ensure that someone is at home/at the business to take delivery and also assist should there be any problems.

The lorry will have a tail lift which will lower the pallet from the vehicle to the road (it does not have a crane to lift the paving over a hedge or wall).  The pallet will then be transported with a manual pallet truck/trolly to the kerbside.  The courier may place the pallet on any hard standing surface on or near your drive if you have a drop kerb to get it there.  If you have a gravel driveway the pallet truck will not run over it. Pallets cannot be pulled over kerbs, you will need a drop kerb nearby for access. The pallet courier will not transport the pallet around the back of your house.  The courier will not unpack your pallet.

You must ensure that you have access for a HGV.  If the courier tries to deliver and there isn’t suitable access they will have to abort the delivery and will make a charge up to the original cost of the pallet (this can be more if the driver has to bring assistance).

Please do not direct the lorry onto your property.  We are not responsible if any damage occurs.

RECEIVING YOUR ORDER:

Although we do everything we can to get your order to you as safely as possible, it's very important to check your order immediately for any visable signs of damage.

On receipt of your order, please check it immediately and let us know of any damages straight away by email to info@andrewmckeown.com. Full details can be found in the Terms & Conditions. All damages must be reported within 7-days.

SIGNING FOR DELIVERY:

Before you sign for the goods, please inspect the product inside the box to ensure that everything has arrived undamaged. We pack our goods extremely carefully and damages are rare, however, once you have signed for the goods it may not be possible to prove that the damage occurred before they came into your possession. If the goods are left without a signature, we must be notified of any damages or shortages within 24 hours of the delivery taking place. See 'Damaged Items' below.

  1. A Recipient of a damaged parcel should sign for a Shipment as "damaged" if this is the case. If a Shipment is signed and accepted as in good condition, you will not be able to proceed with a claim. If the recipient is unable to check whilst the driver is present, please sign for goods as "unchecked". Clients must advise this to Recipients.

REFUSING DELIVERY:

If you refuse to accept an order from our couriers, you may be responsible for any additional courier costs, including the cost of returning the items to us. If you are refusing the order simply because you have changed your mind, you will be responsible for the costs of returning the goods. If you are refusing the goods because you believe they are damaged, we will check the goods are damaged when they are returned to us. If they aren’t damaged, we may have to charge you the cost of returning the goods to us. If you refuse the goods because the courier company is not able to carry the goods to a particular part of your property, please remember that we are unable to guarantee that the couriers will deliver to any point other than your front door or kerbside, depending on the item.

SHORTAGES:

If you've ordered more than one item, please check the contents of your delivery and compare it with our packing note to ensure that all goods have arrived. You must notify us by email or phone within 24 hours if something hasn't arrived. Note that if you've ordered more than one item, we sometimes send by more than one courier, possibly on a different date, but this should be marked on your packing slip.

LATE DELIVERIES:

We make every effort to ensure that your order will arrive within the delivery times shown on our website. Unfortunately this may not always be possible. Should your order be delayed or fail to arrive when expected, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to resolve any problems. Late deliveries are not deemed as a breach of contract or our legal duties as delivery dates and times cannot be guaranteed.

Please note that our liability does not extend to providing compensation for late or failed deliveries. In any event our liability to you shall not include losses to third parties, or losses relating to any business of yours, such a business interruption or loss of profit.

Please do not book any tradesmen or contractors until you have received and checked the goods.
